June's Journey with Jesus
Finding Strength in Him

Dear Friends,
June has been a month of profound challenges and quiet victories, a season that has tested my faith more than one occasion. Through it all, I’ve leaned on God’s strength and your encouragement to keep moving forward. As I write this newsletter, I’m sipping on coffee and hearing the birds sing as my big kitty sleeps by my feet. I can’t help but look back at this month with gratitude. Here’s a rundown of what happened this month, the content I’ve shared, and what’s ahead for July.
A Season of Health and Recovery
This month, I faced significant medical challenges that resulted in my need for surgery. By God’s grace, my recovery has been smooth, and I’m now focused on rebuilding my strength to return to the gym. It’s a slow process, but I am optimistic about my next steps! Your prayers have been a lifeline, and I’m grateful for every one of them.
Navigating Stress and Trusting God
Beyond health, June brought financial strain and the ongoing challenge of job searching. These stressors have weighed heavily, making it tough to stay mentally grounded. Yet, I’ve found peace in trusting that God will place me where He sees fit. His timing is perfect, even when it’s hard to see. I’ve also been working on a budget to help my family climb out of this rut. Would you be interested in me sharing this budget in a future newsletter? Let me know your thoughts!
Content Creations This Month
Despite the challenges, I’ve been blessed to produce meaningful content that shows you all where my heart and mind is at when it comes to Biblical and cultural matters. Here’s a rundown of the videos I shared in June:
Against Female Ordination: A Reformed Christian Perspective on Biblical Leadership
A thought-provoking conversation with Carlton Roach exploring biblical perspectives on leadership and ordination. From Compton’s Underground to God’s Glory: A Rapper’s Redemption
I sat down with Demetrius Doby, a former Compton underground rapper, to hear his powerful testimony of redemption through Christ. The Philosophy of Strength: A Christian Discussion
Joined by Coach Justin Johnson of High Calling Fitness, we discussed how physical strength aligns with Christian values.Doxxing and Deception: A Christian Response to Media Manipulation
Drew Koehler and I tackled the ethics of doxxing and media deception, offering a Christian perspective on navigating these issues.A Mother’s Grief: The Christian Response
With Amanda Kroeker and Raym Hardy, we discussed a mother’s heartbreaking loss to bullying and her hope in science for resurrection, contrasting it with the hope found only in Christ.
Each of these conversations has been a reminder for us all of how God uses our stories to point others to His truth.
Looking Ahead to July
As I step into July, I’m excited to refocus on my health with a goal of hitting the gym at least three times a week, guided by the incredible team at High Calling Fitness. Coach Justin Johnson will be keeping me accountable as I work on my strength and start an elimination diet to address inflammation. I’m trusting God to guide me through this process, knowing He equips us for every good work. My goal isn’t just physical because I’m committed to making sure that I have my alone-time with God and His Word. I focus a lot on pointing others to Him while not blocking off a time of the day for myself in His Word.
Saying Goodbye to June 2025
As I reflect on this month, I’m reminded that God will give us what we need. He will never fail and has never done so. The trials of this month have deepened my reliance on Him, and I pray you, too, find strength in His unending love. Let’s continue to lift each other up, trusting that God is working all things for our good.
Here’s to July! I pray that it will be a month of renewed strength, deeper faith, and unshakeable hope! Stay tuned for updates, and let me know if you’d like to see that budget plan. Together, we’ll keep pressing forward in Christ.
‘Til our next meeting, blessings to you and yours,
Ash
